Mourn No More

Fluffy has been found!

About 3:30 yesterday afternoon, we recieved a phone call from the Good Samaritan Center. Fluffy had been found in a flower bed. Since the office was closing for the holidays and Brian wouldn't be home until late, one of the ladies brought him by the apartment.

Everyone is so happy that Fluffy is back!

Please mourn with us

Please take a moment from your busy day and mourn the passing of our very best friend. Yesterday between 1:00-2:00pm the life of our dearest and most loved friend was tragically taken from us.

Fluffy is permanently missing.

We lost him somewhere between the dr.'s office and the church. We called the dr.'s office and a nice gentlemen issued a search and rescue team to try and locate the missing body. We have taken the car apart and searched the church. But Fluffy was nowhere to be found.

Those who loved him request that his name not be spoken in front of the one who loved him most. The recovery is slow, but beginning. He can never be replaced and he will always be missed.

Our hearts are breaking.

Thanksgiving Hunt II

I was at about 100 yds. away from my feeder, and had a Marlin 30-30 with a 4x scope. Me and Brian had gotten settled in our stand, about 10-15 minutes passed and we spotted a doe off to our left. So we were watching her ( she was on the other side of a fence) and another appears. So we waited for them to cross the fence. They cautiously crossed the fence, came to the feeder ,and well, did what any red-blooded whitetail doe would do, started eating. So I shot At the bigger one (and as much as this hurts) MISSED!!! So I quickley reloaded, shot again, and hit her. So Brian and I went drug her off, got back in the stand... and waited. Meanwhile the seccond doe Stayed around ( well she shyed away first) soon another doe came along. I shot her ,and she dropped in her tracks never to move again.Oh, I find it interesting, she could not move because I shot her in the backbone...instant,painless, death.Anyhu, right as I shot her Brian saw a spike, and ,ofcourse I shot him. Three deer total. Thirty minutes. Not bad.Well there it is.

Sprint

Ok, as we told some of you - several weeks ago we recieved a bill from Sprint for $.19. Brian and I had a good laugh and then taped a quarter to the bill and mailed it back.

Today - believe it or not, we received a check for $.06!

So the question is... to cash the check or not to cash?

Emily doesn't like deer meat

Sorry guys...

I made stew today with the deer meat in it... and Emily picked out all of the carrots and ate them. She then picked out some of the potatoes and ate them. But she won't eat the meat unless I hand feed it to her.

But I think the stew is really good :)

The Thanksgiving Hunt

It was cool and windy when I saw the deer, she was running away from me at 300 yards and I shot her with open sights... through the right eye.

Righhhhhht... just kidding, here is the real story, I had just got settled into my stand, not really expecting to see anything, and I didn't, for about 10 minutes when I saw her slowly making her way to the feeder, so I waited patiently for her to come into the clear. When she did, I steadied and took the shot, she went down instantly and never got up. So there is the story.
